Community Development Grants Scheme 2011

This scheme is now open again for applications, offering grants of up to €1,500 to community and voluntary groups from Bray and Kilmacanogue for one-off community development projects, and also smaller capital grants of €500.

The projects awarded grants in the first round of grants earlier this year were:

The Carers Association for group training to develop the skills and confidence of carers to organise their own support groups;

Hi Rez Youth Centre to train young people to participate in decision-making in their community;

Wicklow Film Club in Bray for people who have experienced mental health difficulties to meet weekly for social contact and a film;

Fergal Og's Gaelic Games Club to support low income parents with the costs of taking part in sporting activities at the club;

Homelink to train members to develop the skills to organise and host Homelink social events and a members' allotment;

CASC to provide low cost administrative services to support local community groups in their work.

Education and Training Grants Scheme 2011/12

Bray Education Access Programme (BEAP)

This scheme offers financial support to students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds living in RAPID estates in Bray to help them to take part in basic, further or higher education.

This scheme is now closed for applications until summer 2012.
